Celebrating Sustainability: SALUTAS P5 2024 at SMK Santo Lukas, Spes Patriae

On November 21, 22, and 29, 2024, our school proudly hosted SALUTAS P5 2024, a vibrant event that brought our community together to embrace the theme “Sustainable Lifestyle.” This initiative was designed to inspire positive environmental change and empower our students to be active contributors to a cleaner, greener future.

The first two days were filled with creative activities, including decorating trash bins to encourage proper waste disposal and plastic recycling.

Through this, students learned how to transform discarded plastic into valuable, useful items, helping to reduce plastic waste around the school. This hands-on experience not only nurtured creativity but also reinforced the importance of environmental responsibility.

The grand finale on November 29 was a spectacular celebration featuring student performances showcasing their artistic talents in a cultural and educational showcase. The highlight of the day was an engaging live demonstration of eco-enzyme production—a natural and sustainable cleaning solution that promotes eco-friendly habits while benefiting the school environment.

To add to the excitement, we had a high-energy aerobics and Zumba session led by professional instructors, bringing fun and fitness into the mix. This collective movement energized everyone and highlighted the importance of maintaining both personal health and a sustainable lifestyle.

SALUTAS P5 2024 was not just an event—it was a movement toward lasting change, teaching valuable lessons and leaving a positive impact on our school and the community. Together, we’re building a future that cares for our planet and nurtures the next generation of changemakers.
